Home Renovation – 32nd Ave Farmhouse

Located on a sprawling 10 acres with a creek this farm house has spanned the test of time. Built between 1900-1903 this home has seen Presidents come and go, survived the Great Depression, and two World Wars. But now it is time to give it a fresh look. With a good foundation, and structural frame we took this home down to the studs to bring it back to life. Removing the old, and beginning a new stage in this home’s 125 years of life. All new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems installed to bring this home up to modern efficiency. As well as new windows to replace the original wood windows still in the home. We chose Pella Impervia double hung windows because they best fit the overall look we were trying to achieve with our farmhouse. For exterior insulation we used NuWool cellulose and foam to install insulation in walls that had never been insulated. For the interior trim we tried our best to match the original wood trim work, but on a budget. Our hope is that this home renovation gave this home a fresh life for many more years to come!
